Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School girls cross country didn’t just bring back a state championship with their win in late October, they made history as the first team in school history to earn a state championship.
The Mustangs competed for the state championship on Oct. 25 in Denver and, after a slow start, worked their way through the field over the 3,500-meter course. Every runner finished with a season-best performance.
